Wonder what happened to this musical genre anyways? Bobbie Gentry was another one with Ode To Billie Jo and Son Of A Preacher Man and others - they seemed to have just disappeared. There were others too who touched on it - Commander Cody, even Dan Hicks and his Hot Licks as well as many others. It was more of a fusion of Country, Rock and Blues that just got people going. I remember sitting in the Riviera Hotel in Edmonton back when the bars had no size or population limits. When they tried to shut it down at 1:00 people weren't leaving. We also didn't allow them to stop serving. Seemed like every night cop in Edmonton was also there. What could they do but tap their toes. A few girls even asked a couple of them for a dance. The band finally did another set but made us promise to be good and go home after they were done. (Think they were liking it too.) Well, we finally went home. It was almost 3:00 AM. Most fun I ever had.
This song is deadly! I love it! So much of the best music ever is older than me! I’m not saying I hate newer music, I don’t, I’m just over 50% MORE PARTIAL to older music! I like that about myself for a person my age, I like old AND new music so nobody can assume I’m polarized any one way only! Man, I love to prove ppl wrong and this song slices like a razor. I just hadda say all that!! 🌕❤️🔥🔥🎙️🐊
My Granny used to cook us some and some lambsquarter sometimes. She had a small patch where she had enough for a mess of it. I miss her.And nobody could song this song like Tony did !
"Straight-Razor-Totin' Woman..." We all need more of that. Growin up, the neighbor used to come to our place and pick our Poke Greens and yell at us for throwing the berries at each other b/c they were poison...
Hard to believe my parents were 38 and 42 when this 45 rpm came out. I was 13. My mama was from the South. Everyone loves this song. Everyone used to say about popular songs I have the 45!!! Chomp chomp chomp chomp
Great song. Polk salad possibly poisonous. Becareful!

It's 2024-my how ⏱️-🕊️'s.."Polk-🥗-Annie" All-🕙-Classic! Mr.White, The swamp-🦊...🌄...
I still have a big stalk of Polk salad. Makes beautiful berries and natural dye. Better boil and wash it before frying. I think it’s night shade.
HES GOT A REAL SWAMP VOICE! SWAAAAMMP 😅 🐸 🐸 🐸 🐸 🐟 🐠 🎣 🦀
this was originally taken place on Wednesday, March 1, 1972, at KB Hallen in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Made in Japan is better.
Bummer…

Elvis did it better
인생사는게 별거 아닌데 이렇게소박하고 가난하게 사는게 부끄럼없다는것이 너무 자랑스럽네요. 대통령이라고 하는자리 을 모든것을 내려두고 평범한 삶이 존경스럽습니다.
Love it!
Elvis Presley does it 2

Wait…he’s not black?? Well, I never. 🤣
🐊 👵🏼 chomp chomp chomp ded!!
Such simple music and yet so many components needed to come together flawlessly to give us this one iconic track. He made it look so easy to boot.
You can't get much more Louisiana than this.
Oh, yeah. Ungh!
First time I got to see the artist.... .... I would have lost the bet, I thought sure he is black; awesome song Love It ♥️ 🎶🎵🎶 ..
Great
I have Polk weed in my back yard and I live in Southern Ontario , Go figure.
Tony played a Gretsch White Falcon that really had a great sound. That bass and drummer rock too.

3rd song I found Thanks to the Umbrella Academy. I am certainly finding hidden treasures all over the series!
The Rhythm to this song if brilliant!
Her Daddy was lazy and no-count...
Umbrella Academy anyone?
I mean business, mamma
ruclips.net/video/tqON_t22QOU/видео.html&lc=UgzeVxHIaP4vdi5khqd4AaABAg.9GXO8UML37D9G_UcWr_NOz as good as it gets! And Elvis is okay too. :P
Always thought he said, Wicked, untamed Dame. But then in 69, I was ten years old and listening on a transistor AM radio.
Poke Sallet. Pick 'em young, boil 'em three times, fry up in some bacon grease and you won't starve this day.
Tony's version is 100% better than Elvis's version! He didn't need all the crazy stuff Elvis did.
Hello Debie, How are you doing?
